A hospice in Ipswich recently underwent renovations which included the addition of new physiotherapy and occupational therapy services.
St Elizabeth Hospice, which cares for people with active, progressive and advanced illness, made the improvements as part of a £1 million investment, the Ipswich Evening Star reports.
The charity is now calling for more fundraising ideas so that it can continue to raise the standards of its care.
St Elizabeth Hospice was opened by Princess Anne in December 1989.
A hospice spokesman said: "We are planning lots of exciting events to mark our 20th anniversary and we would love to hear from people."
Also benefiting from revamped premises are cardiac workers at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
This is the Westcountry recently reported that the centre received a range of new hi-tech equipment - including an X-ray device which gives higher quality images and lower radiation doses - as part of a £800,000 investment.
