The possible establishment of a new medical centre in Buckinghamshire may lead to the creation of new pharmacy jobs.
Recently given backing by the local council, the facility would be placed in Berrow and it would feature a day care centre, GP surgeries, a pharmacy and two NHS dentists, the Weston & Somerset Mercury reports.
Plans are now awaiting approval by Sedgemoor district council.
"We have been in discussions with Sedgemoor planning department since the withdrawal of the original planning application earlier this year," stated Burnham Medical Centre management partner Debbie Hale.
She added that workers at the centre are "delighted" that the alterations they have made have resulted in gaining the support of the council.
Meanwhile, the Birmingham Mail recently revealed that there are plans to expand the Royal Orthopaedic Foundation Hospital, which already employs around 800 staff members, as part of a project costing £7.9 million.
