Podiatrists to benefit from medical centre upgrade

People with podiatry jobs are among a group of medical professionals who are set to benefit from the replacement of a health centre.
According to reports in the East Anglian Daily Times, two new surgeries are to be constructed in Wivenhoe and West Mersea in place of an existing medical centre.
The facilities, which are due to completed by October 2010, will offer a range of services, including physiotherapy and podiatry.
Commenting on the development, Tonia Parsons, director of the Local Improvement Finance Trust, said: "The new [surgeries] will be substantially bigger than the existing building, with a range of modern clinical consultation rooms.
"There will also be a large patient education/seminar room for group activities and staff training."
The plans are to go on public display so that local people can express their views about the design.
