New medical jobs may be created in Norwich

A number of new medical jobs could be created in the East Anglian city of Norwich, it has emerged.
According to reports in the Norwich Evening News, the former Roundwell pub in Costessey may be bulldozed to clear space for a medical centre.
The publication says that Taylor Wimpey has requested permission from South Norfolk council to build the facility, which would also include a pharmacy and healthcare units.
Already having been given the green light by the parish council, the application is due to be discussed by South Norfolk council's north-west area planning committee today (December 1st).
Planning officers are recommending that the scheme be approved in principle, but want to see changes in the design and layout of the plans.
Meanwhile, a special stone-laying ceremony recently took place to celebrate the progress of a new health centre and pharmacy in the south Derbyshire village of Church Gresley, which is due to be finished in April next year, the Burton Mail reported.
