Health centre with pharmacy nears completion

A new health centre and pharmacy is nearing its completion, it has been revealed.
According to a report in the Burton Mail, a special stone-laying ceremony recently took place to celebrate the site, which is due to be finished in April next year.
Costing £2.3 million, the centre will serve around 8,000 people living in and around the south Derbyshire village of Church Gresley and may lead to the creation of a number of new medical jobs.
The event was attended by MP Mark Todd, who said: "This is a long awaited and much needed facility for a very popular practice.
"It's great to see the range of facilities that both patients and residents will enjoy."
The centre is to house an integrated pharmacy, which will provide users of the facility with access to pharmacy services at the same time as they visit their doctor.
GPs will also have the chance to develop their training facilities at the health centre.
