Pharmacy 'to boost village'

A village is to benefit from the opening of a new pharmacy, it has been suggested.
Siobhan McNulty, who is to run the new centre, said that the news has come as a boost to local people, the Fermanagh Herald reports.
The pharmacy is to create four new jobs in the area and is expected to be up and running by March next year.
Ms McNulty has stated that she intends to offer a range of free tests, including diabetes screening, cholesterol and blood pressure.
Initially, the Western Health and Social Service Board's Pharmacy Practices Committee had refused the development permission.
However, the National Appeals Panel overturned the decision.
Recently, Dr Shyamal Mukherjee, a medical director for Wirral Primary Care Trust, said that people with pharmacy jobs are a useful source of advice for people suffering from minor ailments such as colds, the Wirral Globe reported.
He made his comments as part of a campaign to conserve antibiotics and promote proper use of them.
