Patients get insight into radiography careers

People with radiography jobs at George Eliot Hospital recently gave patients an insight into the profession.
The medical centre, which is located on the outskirts of Nuneaton in Warwickshire, decided on the initiative as part of World Radiography Day, the Coventry Telegraph reports.
During the event, people got the chance to ask questions and find out more about radiography jobs.
Trainee radiographer Chris Mayer said: "Most people who come into hospital will see a radiographer at some point and I think many people take the role radiography plays in medicine for granted.
He went on to say that the event gave medical professionals the chance to remind people how developments in radiography continue to revolutionise patient treatment.
According to the expert, the things that different forms of radiography enable doctors to see are "nothing short of amazing".
Mr Mayer enthusiastically added: "In my opinion it's the best job in the world."
