Radiographer receives royal invitation

A radiographer has been invited to attend a function at Buckingham Palace, it has emerged.
Dorothy Keane, consultant radiographer at South Tyneside District Hospital, will join other people with UK medical jobs for the event, the Shields Gazette reports.
The expert has worked for South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust - which runs a number of medical centres, including Palmer Community Hospital and Monkton Hall Hospital - since 2002.
Specialising in the interpretation of musculo-skeletal x-rays, she has also developed a reporting system to support the accident and emergency department by providing so-called 'hot reports' and written opinions of radiographers out of hours.
Commenting on her royal invite, she said: "I was both delighted and surprised to receive a formal invitation from the master of the Queen's household to meet the Queen.
"This will give me a great opportunity to talk with other healthcare workers and promote the latest diagnostic services now available at the trust."
