New centre could lead to creation of medical jobs

The creation of a new medical centre in the Welsh village of Y Felinheli may lead to the creation of 40 medical jobs, it has been revealed.
According to reports in the Caernarfon Herald, the planned facility will replace the existing GP practice if planners give it the all clear.
The publication states that the existing surgery is too small to meet the requirements of patients.
Felinheli county councillor Sian Gwenllian stated: "Not only will this proposal ensure Felinheli retains a GPs' surgery but it will create 40 jobs and provide training facilities for medical students and trainee pharmacists."
Recently, the BBC reported that plans for a £25 million hospital and diagnostic centre in Midlothian - which would lead to the creation of 70 new jobs - have been given the green light by planners.
The development, which is to be located at Shawfair Park, is due to be completed by 2010.
