Money given for newborn hearing screener

A Sheffield resident has exhibited her generous side by raising money for the purchase of a newborn hearing screener.
Estate agent Lucy Crapper took part in the New York Marathon in order to raise £13,000 to hand over to Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity so that it could buy the equipment.
The 34-year-old donated it to the hospital, saying it was intended to help children both now and in the future, South Yorkshire paper the Star reports.
She said: "It was brilliant to be able to donate such a substantial amount of money to a very worthy cause. The Children's Hospital Charity was one of my chosen charities because many of my friends have recently had children."
Ms Crapper added that the hospital does a "fantastic job" for youngsters across the region.
Opened in 1876, Sheffield Children's Hospital houses around 140 acute beds, as well as a 20-place day case unit for day surgery.
