Significant investments made in local pharmacy

A significant amount of money has been invested in a pharmacy in Bovingdon, a village situated in the Chiltern Hills area of Hertfordshire.
In news which may impact on people with pharmacy jobs in the area, Bovingdon's Manor Pharmacy can now offer its customers consultations, the Hemel Gazette reports.
Staff members at the outlet now perform consultations with patients about a range of issues, including needle exchanges for drug addicts, colds and sexual health.
In addition, patients are screened for medical problems, such as heart disease, cancer, obesity and diabetes, on a regular basis.
Owner Graham Phillips said: "It surprises people that pharmacists do a lot more than dispense medicines. We have spent nearly £100,000 on a total refurbishment and are planning to offer a variety of new services to the community."
The centre's eldest customer Rosa Stafford, 93, cut the ribbon earlier this month to mark the store's refit.
