Medical jobs 'may be created near Aberdeen'

A number of medical jobs may be created near the north-easterly Scottish city of Aberdeen, it has emerged.
According to a report in the Aberdeen Press and Journal, a new scheme is being proposed which would see a £700 million business village created on land situated on the outskirts of the Granite City.
Under the plans, a number of homes would be created, as well as schools, shops and a medical centre.
This may mean that medical professionals such as locum doctors, speech therapists and dieticians are needed.
"There is a requirement now to get jobs into the region to move the economy forward," stated Neil Sutherland, associate director of PPCA, the landscape architects on the project.
Last month, the Lancashire Telegraph reported on proposals for a new £1.5 million health facility in Blackburn which may also lead to new medical jobs being created.
The centre is planned as a means of tackling a shortage of doctors in the area.
