Patient reports concern over loss of podiatry service

A patient from Bradford-on-Avon has reported his concerns over the loss of a podiatry service, the Wiltshire Times reports.
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, made his comments in response to the relocation of a chiropody clinic in the town to Trowbridge, which is situated on the River Biss in the south-west of Wiltshire.
As a result of the changes, people who attend the clinic now have to travel a distance of around four miles to access the new service, which is run by Wiltshire Primary Care Trust.
The patient, who is 58, said: "I am an amputee and I am diabetic and I can get to the Bradford health centre easily.
"I will be able to travel to Melksham or Trowbridge for appointments from now on, but I am sure there will be many that can't."
He added that he is particularly concerned about the elderly who have problems with their mobility.
