New centre to offer speech therapy and dietician jobs

People seeking speech therapy and dietician jobs in the UK may benefit from a new multi-million pound health centre which is set to open in Great Harwood.
The facility, which will house three GP practices currently operating in the area, as well as dietician and speech therapy services, midwives, counsellors and treatment rooms, is on track to open in 2010, the Lancashire Telegraph reports.
In addition, it will be able to accommodate mobile health units which will mean local residents will not have to travel to hospitals further afield for many of the more routine services and treatments they receive.
Commenting on the offering, David Peat, chief executive of the East Lancashire Primary Care Trust, said: "This is an exciting project that aims to bring Great Harwood residents locally-based health facilities they deserve in facilities that are fit for the 21st century."
Established two years ago, the trust serves a population of around 386,000.
