Pharmaceutical society encourages award nominations

Nominations for the Pharmas for Pharmacy Awards 2008 are being encouraged by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB).
Team and individual nominations are being called for, with the society supporting five of the 14 available awards.
Nominations can be made among those with pharmacy jobs.
The award ceremony, which will feature high profile people in the pharmaceutical field, is to be held at the Hilton Metropole NEC in Birmingham on October 12th.
Patrick Stubbs of the RPSGB said that receiving a Pharmas award is "a great honour and will help to boost the winner's pharmacy profile", adding that it proved the winner's work "has been judged to be amongst the best in the pharmacy field".
Earlier this week, 13 English finalists for the RPSGB's RX Factor competition participated in auditions in London.
The nationwide competition seeks four faces for the society's media campaign next year.
Winners will be announced at the British Pharmaceutical Conference on September 7th.
