. Based in London our client is looking for a Senior Research Nurse within the new organisation. Our client is looking for a nurse with experience and interest in oncology clinical trials, to assist in the co-ordination and management of a portfolio of early phase clinical research. Salary rage is up to £35,00.00 -£40,00.00+ Benefits. Our client is one of the London award winning hospitals.
The post holder will be required to facilitate and aid in the recruitment and management of patients to ensure high quality early phase clinical studies and trials, have the ability to work flexibly across many disciplines research facility, will be a key attribute. This nurse will take responsibility for supervising the safe administration and experimental therapies, and foe monitoring the expected and unexpected side effects of drugs and other treatment modalities used in these trials.
Responsibilities to carry out planned care required by the clinical trials protocol to patients without direct supervision, work autonomously to manage and co-ordinate own portfolio of clinical research within the department, whilst working as part of multidisciplinary team. Maintaining effective communication with patients, caregivers and professional to ensure service delivery, whilst working in a multidisciplinary team and maintaining effective communication with patients, caregivers and professionals to ensure service delivery. Assist in selecting, screening and organising the patients and/or volunteers suitable for entry into clinical trials/studies. Assist in clinical trials including venepuncture and cannulation of patients when necessary ensuring that they are carried out within the hospital polices and responsible for the co-ordination of on trial care, and follow up patients within study requirements.
To be considered for this position:
*Registered Nurse with at least 2 years experience in research and trials coordination,
*Including early phase trials
*Oncology trials experience
*Certificate in Oncology Nursing is preferable
*Current NMC Registration
