Permanent Speech & Language Therapist Job based in East Sussex. Band 6/7 Speech & Language Therapist (SALT)
Part Time (3 days a week 21 hrs.)
Salary FTE £30,000 - £35,000
Based in East Sussex this job is an opportunity for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist (SALT) seeking a part time position within a specialist neuro rehabilitation organisation.
The company has been providing Neuro rehabilitation services since 1984 following the Local Health Authority's initial recognition that support was lacking for those with acquired brain injuries. The company prides itself on being recognised as one of the UK's finest providers of support for individuals with acquired brain injuries, and the latest acquisition of its unit in East Sussex has added to the ongoing expansion of their services.
As the Speech & Language Therapist working 3 days a week you will be responsible for assessing clients, planning and implementing group work and 1:1 interventions. You will actively participate in Care and Rehabilitation Reviews and MDT Meetings, supporting the Rehabilitation Support Workers delivering formal and informal training as necessary.
In this role you responsibilities will include:
*Undertaking speech and language assessments for a designated caseload, addressing skill deficits, enabling the client in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure
*To work with clients to identify SALT goals as part of the overall care/rehabilitation plan
*Planning and implementing individual and group interventions in collaboration with the client using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals
*To write professional reports for Insurance companies, funders, case managers, residents and other interested parties that reflect the rehabilitation pathway, progress, areas for development and the functional effects these are likely to have on task performance

To be considered for this job you will be a qualified Speech & Language Therapist with current HPC registration, possess previous experience of working with Adult within a Neurological setting and be fully dysphagia trained.
