Position: Staff Nurse ( PICU)
Salary: £29,803 - £33,753
Location: London. Based in London our client has recently commissioned a newly designed and built, 7 bedded paediatric intensive care unit, which is scheduled for completion in November 2011.Our client is looking for Staff Nurse PICU,

This position requires an experienced children's nurse who has a sound knowledge of working within a paediatric intensive care team. Internal rotation with one week of nights per four hours off duty will be expected. Candidates should expect to commence with our client in September to enable them to commission and test the service.
You will be a skilled member of the nursing team, providing a high standard of holistic family cantered care to children and their families and the ability to promote family centred care and establishes good relationships with children and their families. You will be also be taking responsibilities for the assessment of patient care needs and to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care and to communicate with all levels of multidisciplinary team.

To be considered for this job you will need to possess excellent organisational and communication skills, experience and must be NMC registered nurse (RN Adult/RN Child / RSCN), assessing & mentoring qualification, relevant courses/experience in PICU, evidence of on going professional linked to demonstrable competences, ability to plan priorities care for patients, committed to family centred care, management teaching skills, ability to work well in a team and own initiative, administration of IV drugs, central venous access management and experience of having with acute/chronically sick children.
