Mediplacements is currently searching for an established Senior Clinical Leader to take on the position of Matron within a Private Hospital in Oxford.

Job Role

As a Matron, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring your hospital provides safe and effective care to patients.

Matron led care is the distinction between our client and other private hospitals in the country.
This role is highly visible being the clinical lead with a passion for delivering care the way it should be. You will achieve this through effective operational management, inspirational leadership, and an unrelenting desire to improve clinical standards, care and services. You'll need to maintain the excellent standards of clinical governance within the hospital whilst ensuring you are approachable and accessible to patients, relatives and colleagues.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a diverse range of surgical and medical interventions across a range of clinical functions including ward, theatre, outpatients, pharmacy, radiology, HDU/ITU, imaging and pathology. You'll be visible to patients, staff and Consultants and your strategic nursing experience will enable you to provide clinical direction for the Hospital.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience in multiple nursing specialities. Our client provide high quality care to patients undergoing a range of complex surgical procedures, covering specialities such as Gynaecology, Urology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Neurology, Gastroenterology, ENT and general surgery.
